BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (21Alive) – Officials at IU say it’s time to push for more online education at the university.
Indiana University does have 109 online classes available, but only 5,000 students take part.
Compare that to Penn State, a national leader in online education, who has just 90 online classes, but 12,000 students taking part.
Officials with IU say they need to market their online education better to reach out to more students and create a strong quality online brand.
They say online education can be just as good as, or even better than, the typical classroom experience.
